Today I was one of the models for the new nanoplasty all natural chemical free hair straightening. I had the beautiful apprentice Mia, a young aspiring hairdresser at The Colour Shak. Owner Kim has always had the most talented stylist and Mia is definitely going to be one of her stars. I have Shirley Temple curls along with it also being bleach. I walked out with straight, soft and untouched colour hair today. Mia has beautiful customer service skills, a lovely personality and such potential to go so far in her career. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am very sad to right this review. Today I had to change my appointment due to a change in a delivery from bay island transport coming to 12.30 pm instead of the morning. I wasn't notified by bay island transport I called them at 8.30 to check everything was OK to find it wasn't. I am sure other island clients will understand. I said I could come after 4pm. I rang the colorshack as soon as they opened and even though I have been a regular client since they opened in redland bay they wanted to charge me a rescheduling fee to re-book of 35 aud. Needless to say I was very disappointed as the circumstances were beyond my control. So beware. Even though I regularly spend between 200 to 300 a visit my business was not valued I was advised by the manager that if I try to book there again this fee would be added to my bill.
Please note I have not cancelled or rescheduled before at short notice, plus I did tried to reschedule later in the day.
Such a beautiful salon! Recently had my hair done here and it was so nice and relaxing, didn’t want to leave. Recommend the Colour Shak 100%
Hannah is helping me through a very bad razor haircut which I had done elsewhere, we're almost at the end. She gives great advice and listens to what I want and doesn't take off anymore that I want. Very happy!

Hannah is a amazing hair stylist . So friendly and done a amazing job!!!! She went above and beyond duty. All the other ladies were absolutely Fabulous as well! My personal rating for all the staff is 1000/10. I felt like a million dollars after the appointment.

Monique gave my hair an amazing transformation. She took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me find a solution, which is exactly what I wanted. Monique also suggested a few tweaks that made the style even better. The salon had a warm and friendly vibe. I left feeling happy and confident, and am looking forward to my next appointment.😀
Eliza has been doing my hair since she owned her own salon. Have always followed her wherever possible to salons she works in. She is a one in a million hairdresser that when you find them you just know it and also knkw you will be looked after with ideas etc... Well tonight she excelled anything that she has done before. I became the centre of attention for all the staff and clients to see the end result of the colour and it turned out to be the best yet of any colourings that I have had done. Thank you Eliza for my hair and to Kai for the waxing. 11 out of 10 Eliza and you should be so proud. I wished I had taken a pic of your face when you showed me the finished result and how stoked and speechless (in an awesome way)I was. Will never stop going to the Colour Shak as even the other stylists treat you like you have known them forever and they make you feel welcome and at home.
