I am very sad to right this review. Today I had to change my appointment due to a change in a delivery from bay island transport coming to 12.30 pm instead of the morning. I wasn't notified by bay island transport I called them at 8.30 to check everything was OK to find it wasn't. I am sure other island clients will understand. I said I could come after 4pm. I rang the colorshack as soon as they opened and even though I have been a regular client since they opened in redland bay they wanted to charge me a rescheduling fee to re-book of 35 aud. Needless to say I was very disappointed as the circumstances were beyond my control. So beware. Even though I regularly spend between 200 to 300 a visit my business was not valued I was advised by the manager that if I try to book there again this fee would be added to my bill.
Please note I have not cancelled or rescheduled before at short notice, plus I did tried to reschedule later in the day.
I enjoy going to the colour shak the hair dressers listen to my needs I always come out feeling a million bucks
Always love visiting The Colour Shak, everyone is always so welcoming and attentive. Hannah was great explaining the process of my transformation and how we are going to achieve my ultimate end goal.
I always leave feeling relaxed and gorgeous after being pampered in the basin room with soothing music, gentle head massage and eye mask. But a highlight for me is my sneaky glass of wine and hand exfoliation treatment.

I had another amazing experience at the Color Shak today. I felt so spoilt and so well looked after by all the lovely ladies. I am in love with my colour and cut and I can’t wait until my next appointment. The price was extremely reasonable especially for the very high level of service and care I received. Also had an amazing head massage from the youngest apprentice. I’m so lucky to have this fabulous salon in my area.
Hannah saved me!! After falling victim to a hair massacre at another salon both with my colour and cut I was recommended the Colour Shak and what an awesome recommendation it was. After suffering at the hands of someone who should not be a hair dresser I was nervous but Hannah put me at complete ease. She is knowledgeable, talented and damn good at what she does. I can't wait to go back for my colour to be done.
The salon is beautiful too. What a find. I'm stoked.

I modeled for nanoplasty today and the entire experience was the best I've ever had at a salon. Same beautiful hairstylist the entire way through which was amazing. Beautiful other ladies popping over to say hello and to ask if drinks need topping up.
Now i went with my 8 week old baby and was expecting a terrible time and stares from clients if I couldn't keep her quiet. This procedure takes 3.5-4hrs and I've never had her in one place for that long. Well for 1 she was actually very well behaved and wanted to watch everything, but I also had some helping hands from one of the lovely stylists who would hold bub while i was having my hair washed out...a small gesture but huge for me to have some alone time.
The salon was extremely clean and light and airy and you could tell staff morale was high. A lovely experience and I'll definitely be back.
Bella did such an excellent job. She made me feel so comfortable and confident in myself. I couldn’t have asked for a better hair stylist.
Monique gave my hair an amazing transformation. She took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me find a solution, which is exactly what I wanted. Monique also suggested a few tweaks that made the style even better. The salon had a warm and friendly vibe. I left feeling happy and confident, and am looking forward to my next appointment.😀
Lucy’s scalp massage was the best! Tucked away in a quiet, dimly lit room, the basin experience was amazing and it felt like I was being pampered in a beauty salon. Thank you Colour Shak, I’ve already re-booked!
