Eliza has been doing my hair since she owned her own salon. Have always followed her wherever possible to salons she works in. She is a one in a million hairdresser that when you find them you just know it and also knkw you will be looked after with ideas etc... Well tonight she excelled anything that she has done before. I became the centre of attention for all the staff and clients to see the end result of the colour and it turned out to be the best yet of any colourings that I have had done. Thank you Eliza for my hair and to Kai for the waxing. 11 out of 10 Eliza and you should be so proud. I wished I had taken a pic of your face when you showed me the finished result and how stoked and speechless (in an awesome way)I was. Will never stop going to the Colour Shak as even the other stylists treat you like you have known them forever and they make you feel welcome and at home.
I am very sad to right this review. Today I had to change my appointment due to a change in a delivery from bay island transport coming to 12.30 pm instead of the morning. I wasn't notified by bay island transport I called them at 8.30 to check everything was OK to find it wasn't. I am sure other island clients will understand. I said I could come after 4pm. I rang the colorshack as soon as they opened and even though I have been a regular client since they opened in redland bay they wanted to charge me a rescheduling fee to re-book of 35 aud. Needless to say I was very disappointed as the circumstances were beyond my control. So beware. Even though I regularly spend between 200 to 300 a visit my business was not valued I was advised by the manager that if I try to book there again this fee would be added to my bill.
Please note I have not cancelled or rescheduled before at short notice, plus I did tried to reschedule later in the day.
Hannah saved me!! After falling victim to a hair massacre at another salon both with my colour and cut I was recommended the Colour Shak and what an awesome recommendation it was. After suffering at the hands of someone who should not be a hair dresser I was nervous but Hannah put me at complete ease. She is knowledgeable, talented and damn good at what she does. I can't wait to go back for my colour to be done.

My experience at The Colour Shak, was absolutely amazing! My new hairdresser!! I’ve known Hannah since school and I’m so glad I found her. The magic that she worked on my hair, I can not fault her in anything. They care about the health and condition of your hair and will not do things that will ruin your hair, instead they will work with you to achieve your desired hair goal. They seriously go above and beyond in their salon. All beautiful girls with bubbly personalities that shine bright, I loved the energy and atmosphere as well. 1000% RECOMMEND THE COLOUR SHAK! My experience at Colour Shak, a haircut, was pleasant enough. As a male I prefer not to go to barbers and the Colour Shak did a great job on my hair and the hairdresser was very pleasant and attentive. However I discovered later that I could have had a wash which was within the price but not mentioned. Then when I was charged, a few dollars was added to my bill. This was for the owners own beliefs in conservation and 'saving the planet'. I should be given a choice as the owners politics aren't necessarily shared by others.
Awesome colour and cut as always. I love how the team embrace my crazy colour ideas and the head massages are the best!!
