Meet The Colour Shak Team
Kim, Master Stylist and Salon Owner
With over 20 years’ industry experience, Kim purchased the salon 5+ years’ ago and has quickly built a standout reputation, winning-awards in the local community.
Her business smarts have enabled her to own a second salon, Victoria Point Barber Shak, where her team focus on men’s and kids cuts.
Kim values the importance of gorgeous hair, continually looking for new techniques and ideas, and sharing knowledge with her team, to ensure her clients leave the salon looking and feeling fabulous with every visit.
When she’s not trimming fringes, colouring or styling hair, you’ll find Kim giving back to the community, partnering with organisations such as Sustainable Salons and Hair Aid, sponsoring local sporting teams, and offering a rewards program to her loyal clients.
Dee, Master Stylist and Salon Manager
With over 20 years’ experience, there’s nothing Dee doesn’t know about hair. Before joining our team, Dee was a trainer at a hairdressing college, teaching students the techniques of hair colouring and styling.
During this time, Dee worked with an award-winning international stylist, giving her the edge with creative cutting and on-trend colouring. Getting to know her clients, Dee strives to help you create the exact look you’re after and making sure you leave the salon 100% happy.
Also volunteering with the international charity, Hair Aid, Dee has travelled overseas to train hairdressers in third world countries. She also shares her knowledge with our team, making sure we’re always up to date on all things hair.
Bronwyn, Master Stylist
Lovingly referred to as a ‘colour goddess’ from her clients, Bronwyn’s love for hairdressing started at the tender age of 15. Her passion for hair shines through 35+ years on, continually learning new techniques to keep up with the latest hair trends.
Bronwyn’s expertise lies in colour transformations and helping her clients achieve the look they’re after. As our master stylist, you can rest assured that when you’re in Bronwyn’s highly experienced hands, you’ll leave the salon feeling great and looking fabulous.
Zali, Junior Stylist
Since starting her apprenticeship in 2017, Zali’s dream is to become a fully qualified hairdresser any day now! Loving the hairdressing industry, Zali enjoys that it allows her to be creative with hair while socialising with a variety of clients.
While she’s learning and creating masterpieces with our client’s hair, you’ll hear stories about her travelling experiences. From New Zealand, Fiji, the West Coast of the USA, Spain, France and the Netherlands, Zali is looking forward to visiting more countries, styling and colouring hair everywhere she goes.
Marjone, Junior Stylist (School Based Apprentice)
Marjone is our next up and coming hairstylist who is set to become a highly-skilled hairdresser when she completes her apprenticeship. Currently at school, Marjone spends time at our salon a few days a week, with her warm and bubbly personality having a contagious effect on our clients.
Fast learning new skills, we call Marjone our little ray of sunshine, smiling as she’s helping our stylists with whatever they need and observing how our colour experts transform hair, so she too will one day join the ranks.
