As our way of giving back to our community, we are proud sponsors of Rep basketball under 12’s Red City Roar, and we provide opportunities for our youth through school-based apprenticeships.
We are also affiliated with Hair Aid, a not for profit organisation who cut hair for the homeless, and travel to third world countries to train at-risk women and men to cut hair so they can support their families.

Mel took such wonderful care of my hair - her skill with colour and balayage is magical and handling my thick and coarse hair to give me such a lovely haircut - I’m so very grateful. Hannah is a amazing hair stylist . So friendly and done a amazing job!!!! She went above and beyond duty. All the other ladies were absolutely Fabulous as well! My personal rating for all the staff is 1000/10. I felt like a million dollars after the appointment.
New hair! Absolutely loved my visit today to The Colour Shak’s beautiful new salon in Redland Bay. I'm a huge fan for over 4 years but their new salon is next level! Spacious, set in a lovely and relaxing yet professional atmosphere. The basin area is AMAZiNG - private from the work stations that you feel like you’re in a separate treatment room away from the buzz..New addition of hand scrub for colour packages is a lovely, unique touch. Highly recommend to all of my local friends!
My experience at The Colour Shak, was absolutely amazing! My new hairdresser!! I’ve known Hannah since school and I’m so glad I found her. The magic that she worked on my hair, I can not fault her in anything. They care about the health and condition of your hair and will not do things that will ruin your hair, instead they will work with you to achieve your desired hair goal. They seriously go above and beyond in their salon. All beautiful girls with bubbly personalities that shine bright, I loved the energy and atmosphere as well. 1000% RECOMMEND THE COLOUR SHAK! The salon experience was good the cut was nice I had a full head of foils on extremely thin hair more natural colour but after the first day out no one even recognised the change only 1 person saw it was short. The ends seem still alot lighter than the top and I feel for what was done on my hair cost me over $500 and doesn't really look any different. The excessive price for that salon ive never paid anything like that ever before. Sorry
