As our way of giving back to our community, we are proud sponsors of Rep basketball under 12’s Red City Roar, and we provide opportunities for our youth through school-based apprenticeships.
We are also affiliated with Hair Aid, a not for profit organisation who cut hair for the homeless, and travel to third world countries to train at-risk women and men to cut hair so they can support their families.

My experience at Colour Shak, a haircut, was pleasant enough. As a male I prefer not to go to barbers and the Colour Shak did a great job on my hair and the hairdresser was very pleasant and attentive. However I discovered later that I could have had a wash which was within the price but not mentioned. Then when I was charged, a few dollars was added to my bill. This was for the owners own beliefs in conservation and 'saving the planet'. I should be given a choice as the owners politics aren't necessarily shared by others.
Bella is an absolute delight and I love the way she cuts my short hair. She’s friendly, professional and I always walk out feeling fabulous. The whole salon is an inviting and happy place, it’s a wonderful reflection on the caliber of the team.
Hannah is a amazing hair stylist . So friendly and done a amazing job!!!! She went above and beyond duty. All the other ladies were absolutely Fabulous as well! My personal rating for all the staff is 1000/10. I felt like a million dollars after the appointment.
Today I was one of the models for the new nanoplasty all natural chemical free hair straightening. I had the beautiful apprentice Mia, a young aspiring hairdresser at The Colour Shak. Owner Kim has always had the most talented stylist and Mia is definitely going to be one of her stars. I have Shirley Temple curls along with it also being bleach. I walked out with straight, soft and untouched colour hair today. Mia has beautiful customer service skills, a lovely personality and such potential to go so far in her career. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hannah has Hannah has the hands of a true magician!!!! I had the most amazing day having the most pampered, luxurious hair appointment. From the colour, cut and style EVERYTHING and I mean everything was truly beautiful. I walked out feeling like a completely new woman. The staff are like friends you have known for years. The best and I absolutely mean the BEST EVER!!!!!
I have recently come to Colour Shak after having a bad experience with another hairdresser where they over-processed my hair. Colour shak were able to fit me in very last minute and were able to repair the damage which I am so grateful for! Their professionalism and teamwork were amazing and I couldn’t recommend them more! I made an appointment for my mum and Kim & Hannah looked after her. They made her look beautiful and treated her like a queen. Nothing was too much. Amazing salon!!! Hannah thinned/restyled my hair and was incredibly personable, and watching her work and take her time with my hair was definitely not something I’ve encountered much in the past from other hairdressers. Ambience was amazing, and watching staff and clients interact with each other made this feel like such a warm space that everyone genuinely enjoys being in
