Keeping in with our beautiful coastal town, we’ve designed our hair salon with nature in mind. You’ll feel right at home, relaxing in a non-pretentious environment, while we pamper your hair using only the best professional and natural based products.
To minimise our environmental footprint, we’re proud to be a sustainable salon partner. 95% of our salon waste is recycled by Sustainable Salons, with the proceeds funding meals through Ozharvest for those in need.
You can be assured that we’ve put measures in place to adhere to the new social distancing regulations.
Our open-plan salon has …
- Chairs, situated comfortably apart to keep you safe.
- All our basins and chairs are thoroughly disinfected between clients to minimise risk.
- You’ll be asked to wash your hands when you arrive at the salon, and if you’re feeling unwell, please rebook your appointment to keep us all safe and healthy.
- If you need to squash in some work while your hair is being transformed, you’re more than welcome to bring your laptop and use our complimentary wi-fi.

Eliza is an absolute master of hairdressing! So much knowledge and skill. It was such a personalised experience I will always be coming back!
Hannah saved me!! After falling victim to a hair massacre at another salon both with my colour and cut I was recommended the Colour Shak and what an awesome recommendation it was. After suffering at the hands of someone who should not be a hair dresser I was nervous but Hannah put me at complete ease. She is knowledgeable, talented and damn good at what she does. I can't wait to go back for my colour to be done.

My experience at Colour Shak, a haircut, was pleasant enough. As a male I prefer not to go to barbers and the Colour Shak did a great job on my hair and the hairdresser was very pleasant and attentive. However I discovered later that I could have had a wash which was within the price but not mentioned. Then when I was charged, a few dollars was added to my bill. This was for the owners own beliefs in conservation and 'saving the planet'. I should be given a choice as the owners politics aren't necessarily shared by others.
kim made me feel welcomed and important once i stepped into the salon. Great customer service and service was the best i’ve had since being in brisbane.
